Emulator Zone has always been focused to emulators that run on Windows and DOS. The time has come for this to change!
Introducing this, the Mac section! This is where you will find an extensive list of links to the official sites for these emulators(if available) as well as local downloads!
We will try to keep downloads here updated as much as we can. This is an attempt to fill the gap that the lack of MAC sites has created(there are very few of them).
Note: Most of these emulators are designed for MacOS X.

Arcade

When we say arcade emulators we refer to our well known coin up systems. The machines themselves come in a big variety of hardware and constantly evolve. Please note that some games may be easy to emulate and others not. If you really want to play one of the games that are not emulated yet you just have to wait until somebody manages to do it.

Kawaks

Kawaks has been one of the emulators of choice for newer games such as Metal Slug 3. This emulator supports both Neo-Geo and Capcom (CPS1/2) games. This can probably be considered the ePSXe of arcade emus; some configurating must be done prior to actual gaming, but once that's out of the way, the playing can begin!

Among Kawaks' primary features is netplay, something that makes gaming so enjoyable. Do you feel a need to find a guy to terrorize aliens? Hop on to a server and blast away! Want to have a one-on-one with a friend in Marvel vs. Capcom? Netplay is your answer.

Nebula

Nebula is a Neo Geo, CPS1/2, Konami and PGM(PolyGameMaster) emulator. It's one of the best as it allows multiple players, net play and cheats. If you are good at programming you can also add games that are not included but are supported at the game list using Dat files.
The emulator is using the MAME naming system so any mame compatible game that is supported should have the same name.

MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator)

The world's most famous emulator is without a doubt MAME! Just imagine that it plays more or less around 3000 games and it keeps going! With it you can play the most classic games that you loved so long ago.
Below you can find the command line version of MAME along with one of the best frontends(use it only if you like frontends) or you can always use MAME32! MAME32 has an intergrated frontend and it's much easier to use.
Whether you like emulators or not if you are a fan of all those old games then MAME might be your last chance to play them again.

It's worth mentioning that some game developers have released some of their games for free. You may download those games from the MAME developer site.
